As the operator and responsible person of this forum, I want to make sure that there is a real person with a serious interest in the subject behind the application.

Recently, many fake applications have arrived. It is very likely that applicants will be rejected without in-depth verification if one or more of the following criteria are met:
- A username based on the pattern Firstname & Bunchofnumbers is used.
- The combination Firstname & Bunchofnumbers appears in the mail address.
- The mail address cannot be found anywhere on the Internet.
- The domain of the mail address is suspicious.
More serious consideration is given to applications that have the following characteristics:
- A reasonable username, possibly with first and last name.
- An existing mail address, which allows conclusions about the identity.
Very good chances have applications which are accompanied by a separate mail to info(at)kaltluftseen.ch, in which the motivation for the participation in the forum is briefly explained.
Once your request has been accepted:
- Please introduce yourself personally in the thread https://kaltluftseen.ch/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10 so that the other users know who they are dealing with.
- The forum is deliberately subject to registration: This allows us to exchange information among ourselves, especially on topics that are not intended for the public (e.g. planned measurement sites).
For this reason, the principle applies: "What is written in the forum remains in the forum" - disclosure or publication only with the consent of the respective thread author.
- Stay on topic: There are enough other opportunities on the internet for a chat. I would like to interpret this rule liberally - so practice self-restraint.
note: I sometimes have a certain reaction time, as I have other commitments in life.... In case: Check back after 1 or 2 days by sending a mail to info(at)kaltluftseen.ch
